SmartiD is an Identity Management System which from one single registration allows multiple applications to gain access to this information, therefore Enrol Once – Use Everywhere. The purpose of SmartiD is to seamlessly integrate these multiple applications together giving the account holder the sense of a “total solution” within their environment.
SmartiD integrates with various applications providing solutions for cashless catering, libraries, door access, print management and photo copying, e-registration, vending and lockers.
SmartiD uses various methods of identification including biometrics, swipe card, proximity tag, smart card (MiFare & DesFire) & PIN. These methods of identification provide flexibility & choice for both schools & local authorities. Each pupil & staff member has an account within SmartiD & these are commonly imported from the schools MIS system using our Automated Extractor.
